This project renovates a 50-year-old residence through a strategy grounded in balance—between function, materiality, and budget. Rather than erasing history, selected original wall textures were retained to preserve the building’s temporal character. A restrained palette of warm gray and beige, paired with natural wood and mineral-based finishes, establishes spatial continuity. The design synthesizes Scandinavian clarity with the material sensibility of Japanese wabi-sabi, prioritizing proportion, light, and tactile presence over ornament.In the living area, a structural offset near the octagonal window was reconfigured into a built-in cabinet and window platform, transforming a constraint into spatial focus. Curved ceiling geometry refines visual proportion while integrating services and circulation.The kitchen and dining zones are consolidated into an open plan with integrated storage and a sliding bookshelf partition marking the transition to private space. In the bedroom, recessed detailing and permeable rattan panels reduce visual weight. The master bathroom unifies bathing and dressing functions, differentiating wet and dry areas through tile and microcement. Natural light and controlled material contrast define the spatial experience.

在機能、風格與預算之間取得平衡，是本案的核心思考。這是一間翻新 50 年的老屋，設計保留部分原始牆面質地，讓時間痕跡成為空間的一部分。整體以低飽和米灰為基底，搭配原木與礦物塗料，融合斯堪地那維亞的明亮簡約與日式侘寂的自然質感，營造安靜、溫潤的生活氛圍。客廳鄰近八角窗，原本因柱體產生的斷差被轉化為音響收納量體，並延伸為窗邊休憩平台，形成完整框景。天花以弧形修整比例，串聯動線並隱藏管線。電視主牆以萊姆石與手感塗料呈現自然光暈層次。餐廚整合為開放空間，融入閱讀機能。通往臥房的廊道設計滑動書櫃門，兼具收納與分界。餐廳側邊整合備餐台、展示櫃與貓跳台，使機能集中且動線清晰。弧形天花創造高低層次，同時降低壓迫感。臥室以順暢動線與安全感為主軸，床頭壁龕延續整體色調。衣櫃採藤編門片，減輕量體感並增加自然氣息。主浴整合洗沐與更衣機能，浴缸臨窗引光，濕區鋪設磁磚、乾區使用微水泥，透過材質區分使用屬性。石材檯面隱藏管線，樑下以階梯造型修整高度差，使空間轉換更為柔和。
